Our fans on the Young and Raw Facebook page voted on this recipe last night so today I’m posting it for you to enjoy! If you’re looking for more easy raw vegan recipes , add these tacos to your roster. They’re super fresh, light and full of flavour. Keep in mind this is a very small meal for 2 people and should probably just feed 1. We weren’t very hungry so we split them
If you want a big meal that won’t leave you feeling hungry you could probably eat 10-12 of these on your own but don’t use more then 1 avo. If you eat more then 8 to yourself, use mango in place of avocado for the rest of them and keep your fat intake low. If you’re trying to lose weight, going raw and eating meals just like this will certainly help your body go back to it’s natural form. When you eat this way, it’s nearly impossible for your body to hang on to excess fat.
Ingredients:
8 Pieces of Romaine Lettuce
1/2 – 1Cup Cherry Tomatoes sliced in halves
1/2 Cup Pea or Sunflower Sprouts
1 Avocado
1 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast
1/4 tsp. Chipotle Seasoning
1/2 Lime, Juiced
Instructions: Wash all of your veggies. Tear your romaine lettuce from the head and place the leaves on their back so you can fill them up. Place your sprouts in first, then place your cherry tomatoes on top, slice 1 avocado in very small slices and spoon out gently so you don’t turn it into mush. Take the slices and portion out across all of the tacos. Sprinkle on your nutritional yeast and chipotle, then squeeze your lime on the top of each taco and enjoy!
