This recipe was divine! I don’t know if it’s just me or an everybody thing, but most of the time when i’m “uncooking”, I eat with my eyes so by the time dinner or dessert is ready i’m not very hungry anymore. You know the recipe is good when you eat more of it then anyone else does. Super simple, just a few ingredients and good for you too. 100% raw, mousse. You can make it completely vegan by only using dates as the sweetener. Caleb and I believe in utilizing the powerful benefits of raw super food honey from trusted, sustainable sources. We’ve decided to call ourselves “kill free” vegans, for those who need to put a label on everything. To break it down very simply, we eat whole foods, and some animal products like honey from local sustainable sources.
Your kids or guests will never guess that this mousse is fuelling their bodies on a cellular level, packed with antioxidants, adaptogenic herbs and all natural sweeteners. I’ve modified this recipe from my original cacao-avocado mousse, taking out the irish moss and adding in some maca
Total prep time is about 10 minutes.
4 Ripe Avocados
6-7 tbsp Cacao
1 tbsp Maca
5 Dates
1/4 cup Raw Honey
2 turns of Pink Himalayan Salt
Note: Depending on how ripe the avocados are, you may need to counteract the taste with the sweetness and add a bit more sweetener or pink himalayan salt. All of our recipes are intuitive, so remember to have fun and be creative, if you want to modify the recipe, go for it! We sprinkled some cacao nibs and strawberries on top as a garnish… yum yum!
