This Choco-Maca Mousse is Packed with Antioxidants and Can Be Made in 10 Minutes!

Indulge in this choco-maca mousse, packed with antioxidants, adaptogenic herbs and all natural sweeteners. I’ve modified this recipe from my original cacao-avocado mousse, taking out the irish moss and adding in some Maca. Total prep time is about 10 minutes with a good food processor. You can also sub out honey for maple syrup or date syrup.

 Ingredients:

  • 4 Ripe Avocados
  • 6-7 tbsp Cacao
  • 1 tbsp Maca
  • 5 Dates
  • 1/4 cup Raw Honey
  • 2 turns of Pink Himalayan Salt

Instructions: Pit your dates and add all ingredients to a food processor. Process until smooth with a whipped texture. Can be stored in the fridge for up to two days. To make your own date syrup, simply pit dates and blend with a small amount of water until you have a date paste. Use this as your sweetener in place of honey or maple syrup.

Note: Depending on how ripe the avocados are, you may need to counteract the taste with the sweetness and add a bit more sweetener or pink Himalayan salt.  All of our recipes are intuitive, so remember to have fun and be creative, if you want to modify the recipe, go for it! We sprinkled some cacao nibs and strawberries on top as a garnish.
