Health Proof Your Morning with this Dragon Fruit Chia Oats Breakfast

Not Your Grandma's Oatmeal: Dragonfruit Chia Space Oats

Soaked oats is one of my favorite raw and super easy to make. But it doesn’t have to be boring! Combined with chia and dragon fruit, these magenta-colored fun space oats will shake up your healthy breakfast routine once and forever.

By the time the oats and chia are done soaking, they will be packed with digestive enzymes and expanded Omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for keeping you heart healthy. On top of that, chia will provide dietary fiber, protein and antioxidants. Blended with dragon fruit (if you have the access, get it fresh, otherwise you can order Pitaya Plus raw frozen dragon fruit online, which also supports single mothers in Nicaragua – good karma!).

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 3 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 Pitaya Plus smoothie pack or 1 raw dragon fruit or 2 tbs. powdered dragon fruit
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup blueberries

Instructions: soak oats and chia 1 cup almond milk overnight. In the morning, blend oats and chia mixture with banana, blueberries and dragon fruit. Serve with fresh berries, banana, goji berries and hemp seeds (to get your morning protein fix!)
