*Clean Energy* Super Alkaline Green Juice

Scrap the red bull and start juicing! If you want to experience sustainable energy, glowing skin and amp up your mood, green juices are a perfect alternative to sugary foods, coffee and other stimulants. Yes, you can get high on green juice. Unless you’re going to do a juice cleanse, you probably don’t want to use juices as a meal replacement because the fiber and protein has been removed from the veggies during the juicing process. Use juices more as a way to get more nutrients into your blood stream during the day and revitalize your energy.

This recipe is super nutrient dense and despite it’s extremely green contents, tasted quite delicious and sweet. You can leave out the dandelion greens if you’re not used to green juices yet because they are quite bitter and take a little time for the taste buds to adjust to.

Ingredients:

1 head of Celery
1 Cucumber
2-3 large leaves Kale
1 cup Dandelion Greens
1 Lemon, peeled
1 tbsp. Ginger
1/2 cup Pea Sprout
1 cup Parsley
1 cup Cilantro
2 Ambrosia Apples (can use any type of apple 🙂

Instructions: Wash and cut your vegetables to go through your juicer. If you do not have organic veggies, you must peel the skins first. I really don’t advise juicing conventional veggies either because you’re just going to be drinking pesticides and other sprays that aren’t healthful. Put your veggies through the juicer and drink immediately or store in an air tight sealed glass jar.
