Raspberry Energy Booster Smoothie
Skipping meals is probably one of the worst things you can do for your mood, your metabolism and your over all health. Without sufficient energy (calories/carbs) our bodies are forced into survival mode. This means fat storage, fatigue, headache, moodiness and sometimes even hormonal imbalance. By making sure you’re getting enough during the day, you can experience life to the fullest.
Granted, it’s easier said than done. Caleb and I work from home and even still, it’s challenging to get enough. We’ve pretty much come to an agreement that we communicate during the day who is going to be responsible for making sure we’re fed. Some days, that’s me and some days that’s him. For the most part, our days consist of a lot of fruit and often in the form of liquid meals (smoothies). It’s not that we aren’t into solid food, it’s just that smoothies take like 3 minutes or less to whip together when we’re caught up in a task and instead of skipping a meal all together, we just throw some fruit in the Vitamix and get back to work.
I love this little raspberry energy booster smoothie, it’s so fun tasting and packed with anti-oxidants and essential vitamins that help protect your immune system, keep your skin healthy and your body hydrated. You can split this smoothie with someone or drink it all to yourself. If you’re on the go, just pack some mason jars in a cooler bag.

I hear you on living on smoothies some days! I also work at home and smoothies are just so quick and easy.
Hi, I was wondering if your smoothies ever become gel-like a few minutes after you make them. It happens to mine especially when I’m using fresh fruit (vs frozen). It doesn’t actually make them taste bad, but the texture is kind of gross, any ideas to how I could avoid that?
Thanks!
Hi Taye
Yes, they do and we use glass dharma straws that we bought on Amazon so the texture isn’t an issue and it’s also easier to drink.
I’ve been making this smoothie for about 2 weeks straight, I’m in love. It’s super easy when you can get pineapple chunks and raspberries frozen, so all you have to worry about going bad are bananas (which isn’t hard at all, bananas barely last that long). I’ve started adding frozen cherries as well if I’m in the mood for something extra sweet. Love it!!!
