Looking for a way to start your day or a way to replace a meal at lunch time for your weigh loss protocol? Give this smoothie recipe a try. I’ve intentionally included a favorite product of mine called Organifi because it contains my favorite herb Ashwagandha.
Weight-gain or the inability to lose weight is often accompanied by high levels of cortisol (a stress hormone) within the body. Ashwagandha can help reduce cortisol levels, therefore encouraging weight-loss. It has also been effective in lowering fasting blood sugar levels and improving lipid profiles.
Keeping your sugars low and consuming more fiber will help to regulate insulin levels and keep you full longer.
- 2 ribs celery
- 1 cup cucumber
- 1 lemon
- 1 lime
- 2-3 drops stevia optional
- 2 scoops Organifi green juice powder
- 1 tbsp. chia seeds
- 1 tbsp. hemp seeds
- 1-2 cups water
Instructions: Blend on high until smooth and enjoy.
