4 Healing Bath Recipes for Inflammation and Detox

Water is by far the most healing element on the planet. Women use water during labour and birth to help relax them and manage pain, we all use water to clean us and to hydrate us. Taking a hot bath can help promote detoxification and relaxation.

Epsom salts are high in magnesium which helps relieve muscle aches, pains, and replenish the magnesium in the body. Epsom salt baths also help reduce inflammation and acne. We absorb magnesium through our skin, which is why you’ll find a lot of magnesium sprays on the market. Carve out some time each week to enjoy some quiet time with one of these healing bath recipes.

Bath Salts for Detox

1. Budget Friendly All Purpose Bath:

  • 2 cups of epsom salts
  • hot water

2. Mineralizing, Anti-Oxidant Bath

  • 2 cups of epsom or Himalayan salt
  • 1 tbsp matcha green tea powder
  • hot Water

3. Muscle relaxation and PMS Soak:

  • 2 cups of Himalayan salts
  • 5 drops of lavender oil or 2 tsp dried lavender flower
  • hot water

4. ACV Detox Bath:

  • 2 cups epsom salts
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp ginger juice or grated ginger
  • hot water

Run your bath and include your ingredients in the hot water. Try to soak for at least 20 minutes to enjoy the benefits. A quiet, candle lit room or soft music along with a glass of fresh water or your favorite kombucha will make your bath time even more enjoyable!
