Beet Smoothie Detox Juice and Beauty

Beets and melon, say what! That’s right, this is a dynamic duo. This smoothie is different but very tasty. There’s a strong earthy beet taste initially but soon followed up by the sweetness of the cantaloupe.

Talk about a vibrant red concoction to get you moving in the morning! Who needs caffeine when you’ve got this energizing and beauty promoting smoothie? The components in this smoothie are beauty superstars that will make your skin feel smooth and look younger! The addition of protein powder and coconut oil makes it a full breakfast meal that can keep you satisfied right up until lunchtime.

Cantaloupe– This hydrating, beauty-boosting melon keeps your skin wrinkle-free and can help clear up acne. The orange flesh is packed with beta-carotene, which converts to vitamin A in the body and helps promote clear skin by thinning the outer layer of dead skin cells that can clog pores and cause blemishes. Full of vitamin C, cantaloupe protects against cancer, heart disease, cataracts and the common cold. And forget about bananas, just one cup of cantaloupe contains as much potassium as a whole banana.

Beets– These bright purple root veggies get their pigment from antioxidant betalains that not only ward off cancer and other degenerative diseases, but promote healthy, young-looking skin by boosting collagen production. Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cantaloupe chunks, frozen
  • ½ cup roasted beets
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • 1-2 Tbsp. coconut oil (optional)

Directions: Combine all ingredients in blender and mix on high until well blended. Serves 1.
