Open Your Heart Chakra with Green Foods!

Opening the heart chakra helps you connect with others and feel more love for yourself. Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means “wheel”. In Yogic and other Spiritual cultures, the chakras are believed to be energy centers of the body, with 7 being the most important. Each chakra is represented by a color, the root chakra for example is the color red – just like the earth, and the heart chakra is green and/or pink.

Help open your heart chakra with the color green and with beautiful green foods like apples, limes, lettuce, green tea and many more! Another great way to help open this chakra is with affirmations of appreciation and gratitude.  Words like “I am grateful for this experience,” and “I am fully loved and supported at all times.” Repeat these affirmations out loud, from your heart or say them quietly to yourself. You will feel this heightening the love around you!

Here’s a Heart Chakra Green Smoothie Recipe:

  • 1 cup kale
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tsp Spirulina powder
  • Amall handful of mint leaves
  • 1-2 tbsp cacao nibs

Instructions: Blend your ingredients together until smooth and enjoy.
