There are quite a few raw vegan protein powders popping up on the scene now so I thought I’d share one of our favourite brands and a green smoothie recipe with you. Caleb and I always select our super foods and protein powders with a few factors in mind, where they are sourced from, are they sustainable? Who’s behind the company, and of course we make sure the ingredients are quality.
We’ve had the pleasure of creating a friendship with the team over at SunWarrior, and we really enjoy watching them in action. Caleb has been friends with them for much longer than I have, and it’s safe to say anyone I meet through him is generally pretty awesome sauce. You can see the passion they have over at SunWarrior for what they’re doing and it shines through in their products.
Most frequently, we use their Vanilla SunWarrior Protein. Here’s one of my new green smoothie recipes that kind of tastes like drinking vanilla cake batter… so yea if you don’t like vanilla cake batter this one’s not for you. If on the other hand, you crave vanilla cupcakes – you might wanna give this one a whirl.
- 1 Frozen Bananas
- 3 Cups Spinach
- 1 tbsp. Spirulina
- 1 scoop Sunwarrior Vanilla Protein
- 1 tsp. Maca
- 2 cups coconut water
- *1 cup water optional
