Love Chai Lattes? This Chai Green Juice Recipe is for You!

chai juice

I used to love chai tea lattes! Although I try to stay away from caffeine and milk these days, I still love the flavour and aroma of the warming spices; ginger, cinnamon, cloves, etc.

You can find plenty of non-caffeinated chai alternatives, and of course you can use a non-dairy milk and some healthier sweetener option (like maple syrup or coconut sugar instead of a regular table sugar), but why not take it to the next level and make it super healthy and nutritious?

I drink green juices every single day and I love experimenting with flavours. When I accidentally put these ingredients together, and then sprinkled some cinnamon and cloves on top, it so closely resembled the chai latte I used to love!

Of course, this is not a real chai, but if you love the warming spices, you’re going to love this delicious drink! It’s packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds.

Yield(s): 1 serving (about 2 cups)

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium-sized apples
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 4 cups chopped celery
  • 2 inches of ginger
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • A pinch of cloves or pumpkin pie spice (optional)

Instructions:

1. Wash and prep the ingredients. If apples and cucumber are not organic, peel them.
2. Run apple, celery and ginger through the juicer.
3. Pour into a glass and sprinkle with cinnamon and/or additional spices.
