Juicing vegetables is a glorious way to nourish your body with a dose of vitamins and minerals, and the cool thing is you can engineer your recipes for specific health benefits and still achieve dozens, sometimes even hundreds of more benefits from the ingredients present in your juice.
Daikon has been used in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) for healing the lungs, and vegetables high in Vitamin A have been linked to supporting someone on their healing journey from cancer – specifically lung cancer. Thus, I introduce you to the Love Your Lungs Green Juice!
- 3 leaves kale
- 1 large carrot
- 3 stalks celery
- 1 inch slice ginger
- 1/2 cup daikon radish
- 1 lime, peeled
Instructions: Wash your produce and run through your juicer. Drink within 15 minutes for the maximum potency, or store in an air tight jar in the fridge for up to 1 day.
